The Gig Harbor football team needed a win against Shelton and Olympia to beat Foss tonight.
They’re wish came true.
The Tides pounded the Highclimbers 49-6 and the Bears beat the Falcons 17-7, giving Gig Harbor the No. 5 seed out of the Narrows League. Gig Harbor finishes the regular season with a record of 4-4 Narrows league, 4-5 overall.
Gig Harbor will host Federal way in a Class 4A crossover playoff game 7 p.m. Tuesday at Roy Anderson Field. If the Tides win, they will travel to Vancouver to play Skyview on Saturday night for the right to advance to the 16-team state playoffs.
