Judson Street Cafe to close on Sunday
Posted by Susan Schell on February 5th, 2010
The Judson Street Café on Judson Street in Gig Harbor will close its doors for good at 3 p.m. Feb. 7.
Rick Barnes, kitchen manager for the café for four years, confirmed that the owners plan to sell the business. He believes a Japanese steakhouse-style restaurant is slated to occupy that space, but could not confirm that report.

That is too bad. I’ve enjoyed having lunch at Judson Street Cafe over the years.

They transformed the place into a great rest/diner style. However, I have attempted to eat their a few times. Attempted because we once sat at the counter in front of 3 different staff members and were not waited upon even though we tried to get their attention politely. The first time we waited 20 minutes and we just finally left. We had two other tries since that first experience we waited 10 minutes.

We always had great service at Judson Street Cafe. Great atmosphere and I loved the hamburgers and fries. Sad to see it go but alas things change.
